When should you stop using steel wire rope slings?

Steel wire rope slings are made of steel wire rope. When the wire rope slings have one of the following conditions, it should be stopped using, repaired or scrapped:
1. One strand of the steel wire ropes is broken, or the surface steel wires are eroded by more than 40% of the diameter of the wire, or the diameter of the steel wire ropes is reduced by more than 7%.
2. The steel wire rope slings are kinked and deformed.
3. The steel wire rope slings are partially damaged by broken wires (more than three broken wires are gathered together).
4. There are broken wires on the surface of the cable eye, or the broken steel wires are concentrated in the metal sleeve, near the plug connection, and in the plug connection strand.
5. The strength of the steel wire rope slings is reduced due to the melting of the steel wire rope caused by the live arc, the scalding of the molten metal, or the long-term exposure to the high temperature environment.
