When does the wire rope need to be replaced?

1. The whole rope strand breaks;

2. The rope core is damaged, and the rope diameter is significantly reduced;

3. The broken wires are close together to form local aggregation;

4. The elasticity is significantly reduced, and it is obviously not easy to bend;

5. When the diameter of the wire rope is reduced by 7% or more (relative to the nominal diameter, wear);

6. The corrosion of the steel wire outside the steel wire rope has deep pits, and the steel wire is quite loose;

7. The diameter of the steel wire rope is seriously increased locally; there is serious internal corrosion;

8. The wire rope has cage-like distortion;

9. There is serious internal corrosion;

10. The wire rope is seriously kinked;

11. The wire rope is seriously bent;

When encountering the following problems, please check and replace in time

Don't think it's a pity to change, but it's more terrible not to change!

The choice of wire rope is very important

good quality wire rope

Not only helps the crane work safely and stably, but also has a longer service life

Also save a small amount of money

How to replace the small crane wire rope

1. Transport the new wire rope (together with the rope reel on which the wire rope is wound) under the crane and place it on the support that enables the rope reel to rotate.

2. Lower the hook from the crane and place it on the prepared bracket (or flat ground) smoothly and firmly, so that the pulley is vertically upward.

3. Continue to put the wire rope on the reel, and make the pressure plate stop at a position where the wrench can be easily extended.

4. Use a wrench to loosen the pressure plate at one end of the old wire rope and place the end of the rope on the ground.

5. The crane uses 1-2mm diameter iron wire to tie the rope ends of the old and new wire ropes (the binding length is twice the diameter of the wire rope); then align the old and new rope ends together; use a thin wire with a diameter of about 1 mm to connect Go through 5-8 times between the two ends of the rope; finally use a thin wire to wrap the butt evenly and tightly so as not to be blocked when passing through the pulley. At this time, the new and old ropes have been connected into one.

6. Start the hoisting mechanism, use the old rope to bring the new rope, and roll the old rope onto the reel. When the new and old rope joints are rolled to the reel, stop the car, loosen the joints, and temporarily tie the new ropes to the appropriate place on the trolley. Then drive and put all the old ropes on the ground (roll them up for transport).

7. Use another lifting rope to lift the other end of the new wire rope to the reel; then fix both ends of the new wire rope on the reel with pressure plates.

8. The crane starts the lifting mechanism, winds the new wire rope, and lifts the hook. All replacement work is complete. When winding a new wire rope, someone on the trolley must observe the winding situation, and the observer must pay special attention to safety.
